A little background information on us...

We are both in our early 20's and excitedly awaiting our start to the Ridgetown College Performance
Horse Handler program at the REACH Huron centre in Clinton Ontario this September. We have many years equine experience under our belt and look forward to the continued education and all the new experiences along with the new bonds we will form with our new equine friends. We are also looking forward to meeting new people and forming new connections in the equine industry. Our dream is to co-own our own equestrian facility someday, but in the mean time a special thank you to the Sangers family in Ayr, Ontario for letting us use their property.

Chantal Cote
I first started my equine experience when I was 10 years old. I began my training in the english discipline keeping my focus on hunter/jumper. It was only recently that I began training in western, trying new things such as barrel racing. I have taken lessons for many years at various barns in the area and competed in some small shows, as well as pleasure riding in my spare time. I have many years experience in training as well as some experience breeding. I participated in Laurier's Equestrian Club during my first year of university and I look forward to expanding on my schooling and my knowledge of horses when I attend Ridgetown College in September 2013.

As a child I, through family and close family friends in the farming industry, started a lifelong love for her four legged companions. Following in my father’s footsteps with a love for animals, and my godfather’s passion for the equine industry I made horses surround me in my life at a very young age. Through the years I have competed in both Western and English disciplines. I have owned many horses in my lifetime English and western mounts, and have broken and trained nearly half of them myself under the guidance of many respected trainers. I have worked at many respected farms and stables as well, such as Woodbine & Mohawk racetracks. Attending college for University of Guelph’s Performance Horse Handlers course in September 2013, I hope, and plan in the future, to open up her own boarding and training facility with my current co-partner Chantal Cote for all disciplines, and to start a rescue for off track race horses, adopting, rehoming and retraining giving these beautiful animals a new lease on life!
